Tailings Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tailings Manager to handle the complexities of tailings management in our mining operation. You will develop and implement tailings management plans while ensuring that all activities comply with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and implement suitable controls
• Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding compliance issues
• Assist in the design and planning of tailings storage facilities
• Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to align practices
• Lead a team of tailings engineers and technicians
• Evaluate the effectiveness of tailings management programs and adjust as necessary

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate degree in Mining Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in tailings management
