Freight Loader

Job Description

As a Freight Loader, you will play an essential role in our logistics team, responsible for loading and unloading freight efficiently and safely. This position requires keen attention to detail to maintain accurate records of shipments while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading freight while adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Verify shipments against shipping documents.
• Sort and label products for various destinations.
• Inspect freight for damage and report inconsistencies.
• Operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize loading times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.
• Follow and promote safety practices while on the job.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency.
• Provide assistance in training new staff on equipment operation.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in the transportation and logistics industry is a plus

Languages
