Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Consultant to join our dynamic team in Sandton. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative and sustainable structural designs that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural elements like beams, columns, and foundations using advanced engineering software.
• Coordinate with project teams to define structural requirements and integrations.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and provide field support.
• Prepare reports and documentation for project milestones and final delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bid submissions.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide technical expertise.
• Implement sustainable design practices to promote energy efficiency and resource conservation.
• Mentor and coach less experienced staff, fostering a culture of learning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in structural design with a proven record of successful projects

Technical Skills

• Civil Engineering Software

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status

Languages

• English: Fluent
