Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, contract management, and compliance. As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret legal documents to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with various departments to mitigate legal risks.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property matters.
• Develop and implement legal training programs for employees.

Requirements

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree
• Postgraduate qualification in law is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of in-house counsel experience preferred
