We are looking for an Insurance Underwriter to join our expanding team in Durban. Your role will involve evaluating insurance applications, analyzing risk, and setting policy terms. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of insurance applications to mitigate risk.
• Work closely with the sales team to provide underwriting support and solutions.
• Review and approve or decline insurance risks based on established criteria.
• Perform audits on policies post-issue to ensure compliance with standards.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development regarding underwriting practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or a similar role
