Responsibilities

• Administer psychological tests and interpret results.
• Construct detailed treatment plans considering each client's unique background.
• Conduct psychotherapy sessions for individuals and groups.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical practice in all client interactions.
• Work with a diverse patient population, adapting approaches as needed.
• Support a culture of learning and improvement within the practice.
• Contribute to research initiatives related to mental health.
• Provide training for interns and junior staff.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or counseling
• PhD in Psychology is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience preferred

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Group Therapy

Soft Skills

• Patience
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Clinical Psychology License
• Certified Professional Counselor (CPC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Familiarity with mental health legislation: Knowledge of current mental health policies and ethical guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages for diverse clientele.
