3D Model Animator

Job Description

We are seeking a talented 3D Model Animator to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. As an animator, you will create high-quality 3D models and animations that bring our stories to life. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of animation principles and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce animated sequences from start to finish, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate 3D animations into larger projects.
• Implement feedback from directors to refine animations.
• Maintain organized files and backups of animation assets.
• Educate junior animators on best practices and tools.
• Contribute to the development of animation standards and guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in 3D animation and modeling

Technical Skills

• Maya
• Blender
• ZBrush
• Cinema 4D

Soft Skills

• Creativity

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Unreal Engine: Familiarity with Unreal Engine for rendering and animation integration.
• Knowledge of rigging and skinning: Understanding of rigging techniques for character animation.
