Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for grooming pets, ensuring their hygiene and appearance, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Groom various breeds of dogs and cats according to breed standards.
• Communicate clearly with clients about their pets' needs and grooming styles.
• Provide post-grooming care advice to pet owners.
• Work efficiently to meet appointment schedules.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and morale.
• Ensure all grooming equipment is cleaned and stored properly.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pet Grooming Diploma or experience is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a grooming environment

Technical Skills

• Clipping and Styling
• Bathing and Drying

Soft Skills

• Empathy for Animals
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Pet Grooming Certificate
• Pet CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in pet training: Prior experience in training and handling pets is an advantage.
