Responsibilities

• Carry out grooming tasks, ensuring all pets are handled safely.
• Consult with pet owners about their grooming preferences.
• Perform health checks and report any concerns to pet owners.
• Foster a welcoming environment for pets and their owners.
• Manage grooming appointments and ensure timely services.
• Advise pet owners on coat maintenance and products.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client feedback and experiences.
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment for optimal performance.
• Offer exceptional customer service with each grooming visit.
• Document and manage pet records effectively.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Pet Grooming Software
• Grooming Equipment Maintenance

Soft Skills

• Customer Relationship Management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certification in Advanced Pet Grooming
• Pet CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming: Familiarity with grooming standards and styles for various breeds.
• Experience in pet behaviour assessment: Ability to assess pet behaviours for better handling during grooming.
