Job Description

As a Belt Dresser, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of conveyor belts essential for smooth operations in both manufacturing and mining environments. Your responsibilities include inspecting belts, replacing worn parts, and ensuring optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on conveyor belts to assess their condition.
• Replace parts that are showing signs of wear and tear.
• Adjust the tension of the belts to meet operational standards.
• Lubricate belts regularly for effective performance.
• Prepare and submit detailed maintenance reports.
• Work as part of a team to implement preventive maintenance strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Trade certification in maintenance-related fields is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance roles, preferably with conveyor systems.

Technical Skills

• Electrical knowledge
• Hydraulic systems knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with specific types of conveyor belts: Hands-on experience with various conveyor systems such as belt, roller, or modular belts.
