Textile Cutting Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders

Job Description

As a Chopped Strand Operator, you will be responsible for the precision cutting and chopping of fiberglass strands to meet specified lengths for industrial applications. You will ensure all machines are properly calibrated and maintained while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up cutting machines for operation according to specifications.
• Monitor the cutting process and adjust settings as required.
• Check finished products against quality control standards.
• Document production output accurately.
• Train new operators on machinery operations and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and practices in the manufacturing environment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production targets.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Technical certification in manufacturing preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing role is preferred
