Bench Worker

Job Description

As a Bench Worker, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for assembling, finishing, and repairing various wooden and metal products. We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of materials and tools.
• Train junior bench workers as needed.
• Document production and inventory records accurately.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support the development of new manufacturing processes.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Evaluate product quality and recommend improvements.
• Participate in safety training and workshops.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
• Additional qualifications in furniture-making or similar areas would be advantageous

Experience

• Experience in both wood and metalworking will be beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of woodworking or metalworking techniques

Soft Skills

• Ability to follow instructions

Languages

• English: Fluent
