Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on developing and optimizing chemical processes while ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design projects and assess process flows
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency
• Adhere to best practices in chemical engineering and safety
• Participate in audits and compliance checks
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for equipment and materials
• Implement cost-reduction strategies in chemical operations
• Monitor and analyze production metrics for process refinement
• Support R&D efforts for new product development

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
