Sustainability Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability initiatives in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing strategies to enhance our environmental responsibility while ensuring compliance with regulations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, assessing our operations and implementing improvements to promote sustainability within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Implement sustainability projects to meet organizational objectives.
• Analyze energy and resource usage, recommending efficiency measures.
• Build awareness through effective communication of sustainability initiatives.
• Manage budgets and resources allocated for sustainability initiatives.
• Establish metrics to measure sustainability progress.
• Coordinate with external agencies for certification processes.
• Advise on sustainable procurement practices.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to assess sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or a related field
• Master's degree or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience managing sustainability initiatives

Certifications
