Sustainability Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability initiatives in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing strategies to enhance our environmental responsibility while ensuring compliance with regulations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, assessing our operations and implementing improvements to promote sustainability within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement sustainability strategies and goals.
• Conduct assessments to identify environmental impact and opportunities for improvement.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare reports on sustainability performance and compliance.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and industry trends.
• Coordinate training for staff on sustainability practices.
• Lead sustainability audits and recommend follow-up actions.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations to advance sustainability efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or a related field
• Master's degree or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience managing sustainability initiatives

• Knowledge of renewable energy solutions: Understanding of renewable energy technologies and their applications in reducing carbon footprints.
