SEO Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies aimed at increasing organic traffic and improving search engine rankings. You will work closely with content and marketing teams to ensure our brand stands out in a competitive digital landscape.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular audits of the website to identify SEO issues.
• Create and manage local SEO strategies to improve visibility in local search results.
• Develop strategies for improving conversion rates through SEO.
• Collaborate with the web development team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented.
• Engage with social media teams to integrate SEO strategies across platforms.
• Support the digital marketing team with content promotion efforts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of SEO campaigns and adjust tactics as needed.
• Contribute to maintaining the company’s SEO knowledge base.
• Assist in training junior team members on SEO principles and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• At least 3 years of SEO experience

Technical Skills

• Keyword Research Tools (e.g., Ubersuggest, Keyword Planner)
• Content Management Systems (CMS)

Soft Skills

• Team Player
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ)
• SEO Certification from a recognized institution

Languages

• English: Fluent
