Job Description

As a Veterinarian at Local Veterinary Clinic, you will play a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our animal patients. You will provide medical care, perform surgeries, and work closely with a team of passionate professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our clients' pets.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose health issues in pets.
  • Perform surgery and manage anesthesia during procedures.
  • Guide pet owners on nutrition and health management.
  • Oversee the work of veterinary technicians and other staff.
  • Develop health plans tailored to individual animals.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss case management and clinic operations.
  • Engage in community outreach programs to promote animal welfare.
  • Ensure all veterinary equipment and facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Licensure to practice in South Africa
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in veterinary practice
