Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and possess excellent clinical skills. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide a high standard of care and support to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and document patients’ medical histories and current conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as wound care and catheterization.
  • Educate patients on medication adherence and lifestyle changes.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in staff meetings and share best practices.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
  • Provide leadership to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
  • Engage in community health promotion activities.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Nursing honors degree is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in a clinical setting
