Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter with our team in Port Elizabeth, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate insurance applications and policies. You'll conduct analysis, manage relationships with clients, and ensure risk assessments align with our company standards. Responsibilities

• Review and verify the accuracy of insurance applications and documentation.
• Identify and assess potential risks associated with issuing policies.
• Communicate with agents and clients regarding underwriting decisions.
• Conduct research on relevant insurance markets.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Mentor and train junior underwriting staff and assist in their development.
• Use underwriting software to analyze and compile risk data for decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, or related field
• Professional underwriting certification preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or related field
