Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Public Health Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. You will conduct health assessments, analyze health data, and collaborate with various stakeholders to develop strategies for health improvement. Your contributions will be essential in driving health initiatives and ensuring community well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key health issues affecting the community and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to design effective health programs.
  • Assess the effectiveness of ongoing health interventions.
  • Engage in stakeholder meetings to discuss health strategies.
  • Create partnerships with local health facilities and organizations.
  • Facilitate training sessions for community health representatives.
  • Gather and analyze data to drive evidence-based public health policies.
  • Report on health initiatives and outcomes to management.
  • Foster a culture of health literacy in the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences
  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or Public Health is a bonus
Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in health education or program management
