Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing service plans, and providing direct support and advocacy. The ideal candidate should have experience working with diverse populations and be committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed client interviews to gather relevant information and assess needs.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies effective for diverse client groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
• Monitor client progress and adjust service plans as needed.
• Provide training and support to interns and volunteers.
• Advocate for systemic change to improve community welfare.
• Research and stay updated on social services trends and legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Master's degree in Social Work or Social Services is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of field experience in social work

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous
