Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Social Worker who is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate challenging life situations. You will provide ethical support, conduct assessments, and design intervention plans tailored to the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews and facilitate client onboarding.
• Design and implement intervention strategies tailored to client needs.
• Facilitate access to community resources for clients.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Manage caseload effectively and prioritize urgent cases.
• Provide culturally sensitive support to clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Promote the agency's programs and services within the community.
• Participate in community and agency-wide initiatives.
• Report on program outcomes and client feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years experience in community-based social work

• Community outreach

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker certificate
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional languages such as SeTswana or isiXhosa: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client base.
• Experience in non-profit or NGO work: Background in non-profit organizations enhancing community development.
