Job Description

Join our team as a Construction Project Manager in Durban, where you’ll take the lead on exciting construction initiatives. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage site works, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead construction projects from inception to completion.
• Develop project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project updates.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members.
• Prepare project reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management
