Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled Actuary to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This position entails using statistical analysis to calculate risks, assess insurance policies, and provide insights that guide our decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of actuarial science and have experience in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments to inform insurance policies.
  • Develop pricing models for various insurance products.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends affecting risk management.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other departments to refine strategies.
  • Maintain and update actuarial models and data systems.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or related field
  • Master's degree in Actuarial Science is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance or risk management
