Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to become a key part of our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, providing comprehensive care for a variety of animal species. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners on preventative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care for injured or ill animals.
• Educate clients on pet behaviour and nutrition.
• Keep up-to-date with veterinary trends and technologies.
• Work cooperatively with a team to create a positive environment.
• Conduct follow-ups on patient recovery and progress.
• Implement biosecurity protocols to prevent disease spread.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc or equivalent veterinary degree
• Further qualifications in specific veterinary fields is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in diverse veterinary roles
