Job Description

We are in search of a qualified Speech Therapist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work primarily with children, providing them with the necessary support to enhance their communication skills. This role requires a passion for helping special education students overcome their speech and language challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments on students' speech and language capabilities.
• Create tailored therapy sessions based on individual needs.
• Provide support for students with various speech and language disorders.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
• Engage with families to inform and involve them in the therapy process.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest research and therapies in the field.
• Attend team meetings and participate in professional development.
• Advocate for students' needs within the educational environment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in special education settings
