Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cutting, Punching, and Press Machine Setter to join our manufacturing team in Johannesburg. You will play a key role in operating machinery to trim and finish zippers according to specifications, ensuring quality and meeting production deadlines. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in similar roles and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups and adjustments as necessary.
• Monitor production processes to ensure they run smoothly.
• Work alongside quality control teams to meet product specifications.
• Collaborate in the development of new processes for improved efficiency.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during production.
• Maintain a clear understanding of production targets and deadlines.
• Effectively operate trimming equipment and measuring tools.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of different materials and their properties
• Measuring tools proficiency

Soft Skills

• Ability to work well under pressure
• Organizational skills

Advantageous

• Familiarity with different types of zippers: Knowledge of zipper types and their specific uses.
