We are on the lookout for an experienced Actuary to provide crucial insights into financial modeling and risk assessment. This role requires strong statistical and analytical skills to deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial risks using quantitative methods and statistical techniques.
• Support underwriting processes through risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial outcomes.
• Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
• Advise management on risk issues and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes.
• Regularly update technical skills and industry knowledge through continuous education.
• Assist in training junior analysts and team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Economics
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in the actuarial field

• Risk Assessment

Certifications

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
