Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a passion for optimizing production efficiency. You will play a key role in improving production workflows and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with business objectives.
• Oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
• Evaluate and select suppliers of raw materials and components.
• Prepare project plans and budgets for engineering projects.
• Coordinate with R&D to translate new designs into manufacturable products.
• Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are effectively carried out.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Process Engineering
• Statistical Process Control

• Analytical Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent
