Job Description

As a Veterinary Surgeon at our Johannesburg location, you will manage a variety of cases, perform surgical procedures, and oversee patient care. We seek an individual committed to animal health and excellent client service, bringing enthusiasm and expertise to our dynamic practice.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose animal health issues and diseases.
• Perform surgeries, including spays, neuters, and more complex operations.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding pet health and treatments.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary veterinary team.
• Keep up-to-date with best practices and veterinary advancements.
• Supervise veterinary technicians and support staff effectively.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Help cultivate a positive and supportive clinic environment.
• Address client queries and concerns in a satisfactory manner.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Surgeon
