Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Community Pharmacy, you will ensure the safe dispensing of medications, educate patients about their prescriptions, and work closely with healthcare teams. Your commitment to healthcare will help us improve patient outcomes and foster a healthier community.

Responsibilities

• Advise patients on the proper use of medications and potential side effects.
• Conduct patient assessments to identify health needs.
• Work closely with the pharmacy team to enhance service delivery.
• Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and legality.
• Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Develop patient education materials to improve health literacy.
• Compile reports on medication usage and trends for management.
• Coordinate with external healthcare facilities for patient referrals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in community pharmacy

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
