Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating reports, and providing actionable insights to improve financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Prepare and present monthly financial performance reports to management.
• Work closely with other departments to gather financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for discrepancies.
• Research financial trends and market conditions for data-driven decisions.
• Support the team with ad-hoc financial requests and analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field
• Master's degree in Finance is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or business analytics

Technical Skills

• Financial Modelling
• ERP Software

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• CFA Level 1 (preferable)
• CIMA (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SAP: Experience in using SAP for financial reporting and analysis.
• Knowledge of IFRS: Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
