Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will provide therapeutic support to clients dealing with various mental health issues. Your expertise will help them navigate their challenges and promote their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor clients' emotional and mental health needs.
• Create a safe environment for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Support clients in setting and achieving personal goals for recovery.
• Work with diverse populations and respect cultural differences.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness about mental health.
• Document all patient interactions and maintain up-to-date case files.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
