Job Description

We are on the lookout for dedicated Tutors in Johannesburg who can provide exceptional educational support to our students. As a tutor, you'll guide learners through their studies, helping them to build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities

• Guide students through challenging concepts in a supportive manner.
• Monitor and document student progress and achievements.
• Adapt teaching techniques to suit different learning styles.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Work collaboratively with other tutors and staff to enhance student outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development as required.
• Prepare students for examinations with targeted revision sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Master's degree in Education is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of tutoring experience

Technical Skills

• Curriculum Development
• Assessment Techniques

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Special Education Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in test preparation: Background in preparing students for standardized tests such as Matric or IEB.
• Strong interpersonal skills: Capability to build rapport with students and parents.
