Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Actuary who can interpret complex data and provide insights into risk management strategies. You'll play a crucial role in advising our clients on financial planning and insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze statistical data and develop predictions for financial outcomes.
• Work closely with the underwriting team to create insurance products.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders about risk assessment.
• Utilize complex mathematical models to evaluate risk scenarios.
• Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the actuarial field.
• Mentor junior staff and train them on actuarial principles.
• Collaborate with finance team to develop long-term financial strategies.
• Implement new technologies and methodologies in risk analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field
• Fellowship of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA) is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in an actuarial role or related field
