Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be involved in designing, analyzing, and testing mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate should be proficient in CAD software and possess strong problem-solving skills to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical systems and components for various applications.
• Analyze design proposals and provide feedback to enhance functionality.
• Test and evaluate designs to improve efficiency and performance.
• Document project progress and results, including detailed reports.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality production.
• Assist in the troubleshooting and problem-solving of mechanical issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

• SolidWorks
• ANSYS

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
