Job Description

We are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our Cape Town team. This role involves evaluating and implementing security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the capacity to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead security incident response efforts and coordinate with legal and IT teams.
• Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
• Maintain documentation of systems and security protocols.
• Conduct employee training on data protection and awareness.
• Stay informed about advancements in cybersecurity tools and products.
• Implement security enhancements to technical systems.
• Assist in budgeting for security projects and technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve overall security posture.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or relevant field
• Master's degree preferred or relevant certifications

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity
