Structural Engineer

Join our innovative team as a Structural Engineer where you will design and supervise the construction of various structural projects in Cape Town. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of structural codes and a passion for architectural integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process of structural systems for various projects.
• Review and approve engineering plans and specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for new projects.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure comprehensive project delivery.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Manage client relationships and address project-specific concerns.
• Prepare and present technical proposals for new projects.
• Utilize advanced engineering software for design and analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering practice

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• ETABS

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• PrEng (Professional Engineer)
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of advanced computer modelling techniques: Experience with complex modelling for structural systems.
• Experience with structural health monitoring systems: Familiarity with using sensors and data analysis for structure monitoring.
