Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in East London. In this role, you will focus on process optimization, production planning, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering principles and a passion for improving manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements.
• Create process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Use lean methodologies to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical teams to enhance product designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the development of cost estimates for engineering projects.
• Work with supply chain teams to ensure timely execution of projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar engineering role

Technical Skills

• Lean Manufacturing

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies: Hands-on experience with Kaizen or similar continuous improvement practices.
