Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist to enhance our taxation department in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax regulations and compliance, with the ability to provide insightful advice to clients. You will play a key role in managing our clients' tax obligations while identifying savings opportunities. The successful individual will be tasked with developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive tax planning and forecasting.
• Analyze the tax impact of various financial decisions.
• Support the implementation of tax strategies and compliance procedures.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
• Support the sales team by providing tax insights for proposals.
• Create and deliver workshops on tax best practices.
• Maintain an organized filing system for tax documentation.
• Coordinate with legal teams for tax-related agreements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Higher diploma in Taxation or equivalent

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in taxation

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
