Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist to enhance our taxation department in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax regulations and compliance, with the ability to provide insightful advice to clients. You will play a key role in managing our clients' tax obligations while identifying savings opportunities. The successful individual will be tasked with developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely.
• Advise clients on tax-related issues and compliance requirements.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on new regulations.
• Develop tax strategies to optimize clients' financial performance.
• Assist clients in tax audits and inquiries.
• Maintain records and documentation for all tax-related transactions.
• Provide training and support to junior staff on tax compliance matters.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment on tax matters.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Higher diploma in Taxation or equivalent

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in taxation

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
