Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist to enhance our taxation department in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax regulations and compliance, with the ability to provide insightful advice to clients. You will play a key role in managing our clients' tax obligations while identifying savings opportunities. The successful individual will be tasked with developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of tax compliance for assigned clients.
• Review and analyze financial data for accuracy and tax implications.
• Prepare correspondence with tax authorities regarding client matters.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and advise clients accordingly.
• Engage with external auditors during tax audits.
• Prepare recommendations for tax regulations and policy updates.
• Develop relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor.
• Assist in strategic tax planning initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Higher diploma in Taxation or equivalent

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in taxation

• Tax Legislation

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
