Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and be passionate about contributing to innovative construction projects. You will work alongside a team of experienced professionals to design, plan, and implement various civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct site surveys and investigations to inform project design.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment and delivery.
• Monitor and manage construction activities to ensure adherence to plans.
• Work with environmental specialists to assess and mitigate impacts.
• Implement best practices in project execution and sustainability.
• Prepare and present technical reports to management and clients.
• Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained.
• Assist in the mentoring and training of junior engineers.
• Actively seek opportunities for innovation and improvements in project delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

• Experience with 3D Modelling Software: Familiarity with 3D modelling tools for civil engineering design.
• Experience in Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
