Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will be central to our mission of delivering excellent patient care. You will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications, educating patients about their treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance medication management and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications following legal and ethical standards.
• Counsel patients regarding their treatments and wellness.
• Conduct medication therapy management for chronic disease patients.
• Liaise with doctors and other healthcare professionals for optimal care.
• Implement medication safety initiatives and report adverse reactions.
• Train pharmacy support staff on effective pharmacological practices.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Additional certifications in Pharmacy Practice preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a clinical or retail pharmacy

• Medication Therapy Management

Certifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans enables better patient interaction.
• Certifications in immunization practices: Additional certifications in vaccination practices are a plus.
