Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Resource Manager to oversee our sustainability projects within Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of environmental assessment and resource conservation, enabling them to lead initiatives aimed at mitigating environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Formulate policies to enhance environmental sustainability within the organization.
• Analyze environmental data to guide resource management decisions.
• Report on project progress and outcomes to upper management.
• Coordinate with various departments to integrate sustainability initiatives.
• Effectively manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of environmental laws and regulations.
• Ensure a safe working environment by promoting best practices.
• Develop a framework for ongoing evaluation of environmental projects.
• Facilitate environmental audits and assessments.
• Promote team collaboration to achieve project goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Master's degree in Environmental Policy or Sustainability is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in environmental management roles
