Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of chemical processes and the ability to design, implement, and optimise production processes for efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new chemical processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety standards.
• Lead projects aimed at improving chemical production efficiency.
• Analyse data and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Participate in research and development initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry

• Process Optimization

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Auditor
• Certified Chemical Engineer (CCE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
