Field Interviewer

Job Description

We are seeking a Field Interviewer who will be pivotal in conducting face-to-face interviews in diverse communities. If you have a knack for building relationships and excellent communication skills, this role is for you. You will assist in gathering crucial data that influences the direction of our research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Recruit participants for research projects by engaging community members.
• Ensure compliance with ethical research guidelines during data collection.
• Analyze and report data findings to assist in interpreting survey results.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and share best practices.
• Utilize research software tools for effective data collection and analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of interviews conducted and data collected.
• Foster relationships within communities to enhance participation rates in research activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 1+ years in community-based research or similar role

Technical Skills

• Data entry and management software
• Smartphone or tablet for data collection

Soft Skills

• Empathy and cultural sensitivity

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Prior experience in public health research: Experience in collecting data specifically for public health initiatives.
