Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our Johannesburg team. As part of our dynamic organization, you will analyze financial data and assist in developing actuarial models to support our clients in managing risk effectively. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis and modeling for various actuarial assignments.
• Prepare and present results of actuarial studies to management.
• Collaborate with finance teams to align risk assessments with financial strategies.
• Implement best practices for data governance and analysis.
• Work on special projects aimed at improving actuarial processes.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide training and support.
• Evaluate new data sources for potential enhancement of models.
• Assist in the audit of actuarial systems and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Honours degree in Actuarial Science or related area
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of actuarial experience preferred
