Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, you will play a key role in advocating for policies that promote health in the community. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analysing public health data, and collaborating with other health professionals to deliver impactful health programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement public health education programs.
• Collect and analyze health data to drive decision-making.
• Advocate for local health policies to improve community health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive health solutions.
• Conduct training on health promotion strategies for staff and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Facilitate community health workshops to educate the public.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community health or public health

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software (SPSS/Stata)
• Health Education

Certifications

• Certification in Health Education (CHES)
• Certified Community Health Worker (CCHW)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
