Job Description

Join our dedicated team in Cape Town as a Veterinary Surgeon, where you will manage medical cases and surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of animal care. You will also educate pet owners on a variety of health and wellness topics to foster healthy long-term relationships between them and their pets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert diagnoses and develop treatment plans for various conditions.
  • Oversee the implementation of surgical and medical procedures.
  • Monitor the recovery and well-being of outpatient and inpatient animals.
  • Educate clients on animal nourishment, care, and health maintenance.
  • Engage in community outreach programs to promote pet health awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with local veterinary regulations.
  • Contribute to a positive clinic environment through teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in relevant veterinary fields are a plus
Experience
  • At least 4 years working as a veterinary surgeon in a clinical environment.
