We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our vibrant team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovating mechanical designs and systems. You will be responsible for developing new mechanical components and systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design specifications and requirements.
• Lead cross-departmental projects from conception to completion.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers for optimal results.
• Perform simulations and analyses to improve system performance.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Document engineering changes and maintain accuracy.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree or further specialization is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in relevant mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
