Job Description

We are in search of an Environmental Monitoring Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for assessing and managing environmental impacts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to sustainable practices across various projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental monitoring projects from initiation to completion.
• Analyze data related to environmental impact and compliance.
• Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss environmental strategies.
• Draft detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Conduct site visits to assess ongoing projects and compliance.
• Support community engagement efforts related to environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in environmental consultancy or monitoring roles

Technical Skills

• Environmental Management Systems
• Field Sampling Techniques

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Certification
• Certified Environmental Manager (CEM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
