Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both surgical and medical treatment of animals, showcasing a true passion for animal welfare. You will be responsible for diagnosing animal health issues, conducting surgeries, and effectively communicating with pet owners about care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of animal conditions and injuries.
  • Perform emergency surgical interventions as required.
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment for all patients.
  • Attend regular team meetings to discuss cases and refine processes.
  • Participate in collaboration with external specialists as needed.
  • Document all procedures and treatments accurately in patient files.
  • Provide compassionate support to pet owners during distressing situations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Specialization in Veterinary Surgery is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in veterinary practice, with strong references
